Term 4

Welcome back everyone to the last term of 2019. Last term we experienced many highlights including Winter Sports, Lightning Premiership, School Athletics and our Community Reading Day. This term we have already seen the culmination of the debating festival with a report to go in the next newsletter. Well done to all the children that participated in the festival and great job on pushing yourselves outside your comfort zone. I also had the opportunity to call into the Shepparton Athletics track on Tuesday and watch the final relays. Well done to all the students participating and representing the school so proudly. I have also had some great reports about the recent Prep - Year 2 excursion to Melbourne. A long day but well worth it!

This Wednesday is a pupil free day and families have the opportunity to attend the Numurkah Show. I hear there are some pretty fancy shoes on display! On this day teachers will be taking the opportunity to explore programs that are operating in other school. It is important that we continue to improve our teaching practice and look outside our own school for great ideas that we can implement.

On Wednesday 30th October we are holding together with Saint Joseph's, an information session for parents on Student Safety Online at 6.30 pm in the Mary MacKillop Centre. I encourage our parents to attend this event, as this is becoming an ever increasing issue with our children. Our Year 5 & 6 students will also have an opportunity to attend a session at 1.30 pm on this day.
