NPS Cross Country

Congratulations to all participants who tried their best and had a red hot go during our school’s Cross Country event which was held during the last week of Term 1. It was fantastic to see all students show lots of persistence from start to finish and overcoming many challenges throughout the run.

Our school cross country leads us into a busy schedule of sport in term 2. It would be wonderful to see students set some personal fitness goals after competing in this event to improve their general fitness, stamina and aerobic capacity, as we lead into winter sport and athletics a little bit later in the year.

A big thank you to all of our parents and supporters who came along to encourage our students as they ran the course. I would also like to especially congratulate our students who have been invited to attend the Division Cross Country in Shepparton on Friday 10th May. These notes have already been sent home.

Winter Sport

Once again our Year 5/6 students will be competing this year in Football, Netball and Softball against local schools. There will be a mixture of home games and away games during Term 2 and 3 culminating in the Lightning Premiership in Term 3. 

Proposed dates for the games are listed below. These may change as dates are confirmed with other schools due to excursions, camps etc.

• May 17th             at St Joseph’s PS Numurkah
• May 24th             at home against Strathmerton PS
• June 7th              at home against Katunga PS
• June 14th           at Nathalia against St Francis PS
• July 19th             at home against Nathalia PS
• July 26th             at home against Cobram PS

Further details will be distributed to students prior to each game.
