Cross Country- Thursday May 24

The annual Cranbourne East Secondary College House Cross Country will be held on Thursday the 24th of May. This is an important part of the House Sports system that operates at our school and I encourage all students to participate to the best of their ability. Students are also encouraged to wear their House colour when participating in the event, they can wear a T-shirt or singlet to represent their house. This can only we worn when participating in the event and the school sport shirt must go back on at the completion of the event. The days program will see each year level complete the 3km course during a different period of the day. The course is set up around the Cranbourne East Primary and Secondary Schools, where all sections of the course will be supervised by staff. Please note that year 11 and 12 students will have the choice to compete in the Event or attend their usual VCE classes.

Students are encouraged to bring to school any food and drink that they may need to help them complete the 3km course and consume these at appropriate times during the day.

Students are allowed to attend school in their P.E/Sports uniform and are reminded that only appropriate footwear (runners, cross trainers etc) is allowed while running/walking the course.

Students in Year 7-10 who are unable to participate by either running or walking the Cross Country circuit will need to provide a written note, explaining why.  This note needs to be signed by a parent/guardian and handed to Mr Kennedy prior to the start of the event.  These students will help with jobs such as time keeping and place recording.

I look forward to a fantastic Cross Country event!

Regards, Craig Kennedy CESC Sports Coordinator.
