Learning Space 3 - Seniors

The Seniors in Learning Space 3 have been exploring Acknowledgement of Country and finding the meaning of words within an Acknowledgment of Country. The students have been creating their own and showing their awareness of, and respect for, the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which a meeting or event is to take place. The students have been sharing these during Morning Gathering.

DIVISIONAL CROSS COUNTRY

Our cross country team have been training on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school. Most have been attending, so well done! Hopefully the training will mean we have some students who make it to Regional level! Thanks also to Lulli and other staff who are getting to school early to run these training sessions.

Divisional Cross Country will take place next week on Wednesday 1st June. We wish our team all the best. A reminder there will be no training the day before on Tuesday May 31st.

GRADE 3/4 GOLF CLINICS

Parents please note that due to weather forecast the Grade 3/4 golf clinics have been cancelled for Monday, 30th May and rescheduled for Monday, 6th June.

The fourth session of golf clinics will take place next Monday 30th May. Parents please ensure your Gr 3/4 child is wearing their sports uniform on this day and brings their drink bottle.

A big thank you to Linda and Kate for their enthusiasm and dedication. Our Grade 3/4 students learnt lots of new skills and I am sure some maybe taking up golf.

GRADE 5/6 RESUSCITATE A MATE PROGRAM

On Monday LS1 and LS2 Grade 5/6 participated in Lifesaving Victoria’s ‘Resuscitate a Mate Program’. The Resuscitate a Mate program is designed to introduce participants to emergency response management (DRSABCD). In the 1 hour interactive session, participants learn the steps to follow in an emergency situation and the skills to potentially save a life. This program is delivered by a trained Lifeguard.

Students learnt a lot of new information and skills during their session. Hopefully they now feel confident to be able to help others if they find themselves in an emergency situation.

LS3 Grade 5/6 will participate in the same session on Monday May 30th. We ask that Grade 5/6 students wear their sports uniform on this day.

JUNIOR CRICKET CLINICS

Our Juniors had their last cricket clinic this week. We are so grateful to the Positive Start Program, which has been funded by the government, for providing this opportunity. We would like to thank Justin from SEDA. The students really enjoyed their clinics, learning lots of new skills.

LS3 will have their last clinic on Monday May 30th due to one of their clinics being cancelled because of rain.
