Parent Survey on KEY Expected Behaviours

We are working on Positive Behaviour for Learning and are inviting you to help us decide

“What are the important social skills/expected behaviours that your child/children need to learn?”

We have consulted with staff, students, parents and the School Advisory Council to determine the Following options:

  • Respect
  • Resilience
  • Responsibility
  • Perseverance
  • Kindness
  • Empathy
  • Inclusion

It is recommended that there be no more than three or four KEY social skills, so they can be remembered. These expected behaviours must link to social skills that can be explicitly taught.  To help us decide the KEY expected behaviours, we ask you to vote using  the Operoo eform sent to you on Wednesday 25 May.

You will have three votes.

Vote 1 = 5 points

vote 2 = 3 points

Vote 3 = 1 point.

Please note: All other words get a 0 point

Place your votes in the box below the social skill that you consider vital for our school. Place a 5 or 3 or 1 beside your three votes and for all others please place a 0.

Thank you for your support and involvement in this important consultation. Special thanks to the parents who sent me and email or a message via Seasaw to the Home Group teacher regarding your thoughts about key social skills. Everything you have shared, will inform our plans and teaching as we implement Positive Behaviour for Learning at our school.

Please complete the Operoo eform by responding by Tuesday 31 May 2022.

Bodyworks

Bodyworks is a Personal Growth and Development Program. We had planned to implement this program in 2020 but  due to COVID we had to defer it. We will now be implementing this program to Year 5 and Year 6 students in Term 3 and 4, 2022.

There will be a Parent Information session held on Monday 22 August at 7pm. This will be a ZOOM presentation and a link will be sent out next term closer to the date. Please hold this important date.

There will be 4 session for Year 6 students and 3 session for Year 5 students. The cost of this program will be covered by school excursion levies. Amanda Parsons from Bodyworks will be our presenter. Amanda has been head of PE and Health at Goulburn Valley Grammar School, Lauriston Girls’ School, Loreto Mandeville Hall,Textbook reviewer and VCE Examiner - Physical Education Unit 3 & 4 and Senior Sales and Marketing Executive - Merck, Sharp and Dohme.

Multipurpose Hall Update - Week 11

We can see the shape of the footprint!! It is mammoth! Builders are completing the forming for the concrete foundations and slab. Do you have any ideas for the space between the hall and LS2? It would be great if you could share your ideas or photos of ideas for this space.

Happy weekend.
