Dear Parents and Carers,
Last Saturday’s election day was a fantastic way for St Simon’s Community to come together to fundraise and promote our school. The St Simon’s Parents’ Association and some school staff offered bacon and egg rolls, a sausage sizzle and yummy baked goods from Giovanna Younan’s Food on Tangle business to Rowville community members as they left the polling place. There were representatives from Rowville Knights Football Club running a mini footy clinic as well as “a guess the number of jellybeans in the jar” competition.
Congratulations to Liliana Caia 4B who was the winner of the jellybeans.

Monday’s School Closure Day - Positive Behaviour for Learning.
Last Monday’s school closure day was a very fruitful and productive experience for staff as we delve more deeply into the preparation of a whole-school approach to Positive Behaviour for Learning. Year 5 Camp - Monday 30th May - Wednesday 1st June
Year 5 students and staff are looking forward to our three-day camp at Alexandra Adventure Resort.
Year 5 families, please refamiliarise yourself with all camp correspondence sent to you via Operoo or check out the Year 5 Camp section of the newsletter. As a precautionary step, we highly encourage all students going on camp to undertake a COVID RAT on Sunday evening or Monday morning before attending camp. If a student has a positive result they will not be able to attend camp.
Fr Kevin's Mass Farewell Liturgy - Time Change
Please note the time of the liturgy for Fr Kevin’s Farewell has changed. It will be held at 2:10pm in the Church. Parents and Families are welcome to join us for this celebration.
New update for Parents’ - eSmart Section
Parents and carers are invited to check out the updated eSmart section in today’s newsletter. We are seeking some feedback from parents about areas of interest or need related to digital and online safety.
