The Grade 2s had an exciting visit on Monday from Ms Stirling who works for Rotary and is also a garden expert!

We learnt all about pollination and the importance of planting trees. We then planted some cuttings and seeds, we are now eagerly awaiting the growth to begin. We will be looking after the cuttings and seeds until Ms Stirling comes back to collect them. They will then be planted at Park Towers as part of a project to build up the garden space and help add to the Melbourne pollinator corridor. We feel very lucky to be part of this amazing project!

Here is what the Grade 2s had to say about our afternoon….

Karim - I thought it was good because we get to look after the plants.

Leonard - I like planting with my friends.

Mia - It was fun! We learnt that we had to take the leaves off the cutting before we planted them so that they would grow.
