Art Therapy Incursion

Over the past 4 weeks a group of lucky students were selected to participate in an Art Therapy trial program. This program really opened everyone’s eyes up to the power and benefits art therapy can have on your mental health. My experience was overall really positive, over the weeks I participated in various mindfulness tasks and art tasks that were linked to mental health. Some of these activities were imagining your happy place, writing a short story about yourself overcoming barriers and even going outside and choosing 6 pieces such as bark or a leaf that you felt connected to. Overall art therapy was an incredible experience that I feel anyone can benefit from.
