Sincere Service

College Music students are congratulated for their sincere contribution to the College ANZAC Service last Thursday.  Through leading the College community in song and providing musical reflection, performances greatly aided the feeling of reverence both in the Simons Auditorium and around the memorial rose garden.  Commendation must go to the Male Voice Choir who have returned with vigour and sincerity in their approach to chorale singing in 2022. They performed the moving ‘Tell My Father’, which has been a part of the College ANZAC tradition over a number of years. Jemima Bishop-Mowatt (Year 12) and Millie Davidson (Year 11) performed the moving, ‘Parting Glass’ as a reflection after the honour roll was presented by our Year 11 boys and Hettie Byrne’s (Year 12) monologue engaged the audience in the stories of women of service.  To welcome Old Collegian Liam Jeffery (OC 2018) back to perform the Last Post and Reveille was a delight.

Rehearsals are well underway for the Sesquicentenary Musialc Showcase and all student performers are reminded to check the rehearsal schedule that has been sent via Teams, Operoo and SIMON display boards.
