Primary Winter Uniform
As the cold and wet weather increases, a friendly reminder to please be sending your child to school in the correct Winter Uniform, as found on pages 9 and 10 of the Primary Diary.
We understand that children need warmth and protection from the elements, so we ask that any additional clothing aligns with our uniform policy. This includes navy coats, white/navy/maroon scarves, and the school beanie. Thank you for your cooperation.

Wonder Recycling Rewards - Bread Bags 2022
Heatherton Christian College has signed up again this year to be a part of the ‘Wonder Recycling Rewards Program’. This is an initiative where bread bags (of any brand) are recycled and turned into playground equipment. Bread tags are not being collected this year.
For every 5kg of bread bags collected, the College earns reward points with RHSports, which can then be claimed for sporting equipment. By participating in the program, HCC is also entered into a draw to win an exercise circuit made from recycled plastic!
Collections will continue until Friday 9 September. The collection box has been placed in the auditorium, just outside the College office.
We encourage all families to participate in the program by collecting bread bags and to take the opportunity to engage with their children about recycling and sustainability.

Financial Assistance for CSEF (Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund)
Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government’s commitment to breaking the link between a student’s background and their outcomes.
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are a part of a healthy curriculum.
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
The annual CSEF amount per student is:
- $125 for primary school students
- $225 for secondary school students
