Old Collegians

Hi all

I haven’t received much news so this segment will be short and sweet.

Lil and Brian Kent (past student 1953-1954, Life Member, name on Honour Wall) celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on May 5th. Well done and congratulations to you both. Brian is having a few health problems with blocked arteries reducing his blood flow. He is receiving further treatment and we wish him well.

80th Reunion

The 80th anniversary reunion will be held at the College on Open Day – Saturday 27th August. We invite and encourage all past students of the various incarnations of the school/college to attend. There will be an area set aside for gathering, chatting and any formalities. There will be plenty to see with tours and information sessions throughout the day. 

The Denmark Historical Society will be joining us and we will have a display of memorabilia. We are hoping to have a sausage sizzle, run by the Denmark Restoration Group to take pressure off the kitchen. Tea and coffee will also be provided.

An unveiling of the 80 year commemorative plaque will also take place on the day. The event will be advertised in newspapers etc but there’s nothing like word of mouth for getting information out to your mates. There will be reminders via this segment but put the date in your calendar now and join us to celebrate the history and tradition of the School/College.

Town Class Anniversary Celebration

The Town Class of 1962 is holding a 60 year anniversary celebration later this year. Some of you may have seen the advertisement in the ‘Can you help’ section of the West Australian newspaper. 1953-1956 Reunion

The 1953-1956 group are off to York for our October reunion this year. We’re looking forward to another chance to get together.

Vale Kevin Pittard 

Kevin Pittard (past student 1952-1953) passed away on 5th May aged 85 years. We extend our sympathy and condolences to his wife, Raylee, children Leanne, John and Mark and families. May he Rest in Peace.
