Equestrian

As Term Two draws to a close, we reflect on the busy few weeks we have had and plan for the logistics of closing the Equestrian Centre for the mid-year holidays. Horsemanship lessons for both junior and senior students will finish on 21 June. Lessons resume for senior students the week beginning 24 July and Junior Horsemanship takes a break Term Three.

Sadly, we had to postpone our Interhouse Dressage competition due to inclement weather, but we do plan on rescheduling this event in early Term Three.

There are multiple opportunities to ride over the school holidays.

  • Orford Arena will host showjumping coach extraordinaire Russell Johnstone July 7,8 and 9.
  • Heywood Pony Club will host a navigation ride on 25 June.
  • To keep up with riding opportunities in our local area, join our Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/thehamiltoncollegeequestrian/

Thanks to all our riders and instructors for another great term. And most importantly, thanks to our parents who turn up week in and week out with horses in tow rain, hail or shine.

Wishing you all a safe, happy, and horsey holidays!
