All book orders from Issue 4 of LOOP Bookclub have been distributed to students via their classroom in time for the school holidays - happy reading!
Next term is my favourite time of the year as we celebrate Children's BOOK WEEK! The theme this year is READ, GROW INSPIRE. It's a much-anticipated event and literary highlight! The shortlisted books are on display in the library and will be available for student borrowing following BOOK WEEK 19 - 25 August 2023.

Footy Tipping
With just 6 games to select, we still only had 3 tipsters pick all 6 winners. Of these, Bottomless Tigers & Pomergranite both had the same winning margin, to share the $60 Jackpot. MMM Dees & Daryn G still head the table on 82. Six more games this week will complete the BYE Rounds as we head towards the second half of the draw. Nows the time to make your charge. Good Luck!
AFL Footy Clinic
Tilly from the AFL ran clinics during our Year 5, 3 & Foundation PE classes this week. The students participated in a variety of drills & games, incorporating the basic skills of handballing, kicking & marking a football.
AFL Players Visit
To coincide with the clinics, we had a visit from Collingwood players Scott Pendlebury, Jack Crisp, Tom Wilson & Charlie Dean. All year 3-6 students participated in a Q&A with the players, who answered a variety of questions about their diets, fitness regimes, childhood, playing footy & who they idolised growing up. Such an activity provides our students with a connection to their heroes and may hopefully inspire them to dream big & who knows?
