Spanish Term 3

¡Hola Familias!

¿Como estáis? How are you?

The last term we learnt some basic Spanish greetings, numbers from 0 to 5, how to introduce ourselves and ask for someone’s name.

Now, let us start the third term off!

Building on the knowledge from last term the students will be challenged to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases, that they can use around the school and at home. We will also learn and understand in which contexts they can use these phrases. In addition, students will begin to introduce themselves and others by asking and answering questions about personal details, name, and age. Grades 2 & 3 will extend themselves by questioning others about their nationality and they will also work on gender and their likes and dislikes. For those students needing a challenge I will introduce hobbies and actions. Also, the students will be learning Spanish numbers from 0 to 10, which they must identify and spell. Some new vocabulary for this term will be colours, fruit, and parts of the body.

For grades 4, 5 and 6, we will go further than that and learn how to introduce themselves and others, ask and answer questions about personal details such as: name, age, nationality, residency, phone numbers, and talk about physical descriptions. They will talk about interests and explore numbers to 50.
