The Year 1 and 4 students have been using Excel to create graphs.

The Year 1s collected data about the months they were born in, created a table and then converted this to a graph. They then experimented with changing the type of graph, ensuring that the one they settled on displayed the data in a meaningful way.

The Year 4 students have been investigating how many different ways they can display data about animals.

They began with a pack of cards.

Next they converted this to a table using 1 to indicated yes and 0 for no.

From this, a stacked column graph was created.

The final step saw the Year 4 students experimenting to see how many different ways they could display this data as a graph in a meaningful way.
