October News

Welcome back to the last term for 2022.  It is jam packed with learning and exciting activities for the end of the year. See our date claimers page for more details & the term calendar attached & as always keep an eye out on our Facebook, Class Dojo & website.

We have started our planning for the new year and you can help with our planning by completing this Survey Monkey.  Thanks to the families that have already completed this survey.

State Education Week & World Teacher's Day

State Education Week, Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October, is an annual event that showcases and celebrates Queensland State schools.

The theme for 2022 is "Realising the potential of every student".

State Education Week is an opportunity to promote the great work being done in Queensland State schools to help each student fulfil their potential.

At the end of this week we celebrate Teacher's Day.  This year we will celebrate this on Friday 28th October.

Keep an eye out on our socials for more information as this week approaches.

Principal Lunch Club

At the end of each year we celebrate outstanding students who demonstrate school expectations and are outstanding members of the school.  Over the years we have gone to Maccas for lunch, made our own pizzas and headed to Ipswich for the movies.  We are still planning our 2022 celebration this year, but I wanted to let everyone know how I select the students that get to attend this event.  

• We take students that have lots of bees - usually those close to or over 1000.  
• Students that have had minimal behaviour incidents or have shown outstanding improvement through out the year.  
• Students that have been nominated for Prinicipal awards throughout the year by their teachers.  
• Staff can also make recommendations for students to be considered if they are not eligible for another category.

Glenore Grove Playgroup

Playgroup at the Grove has started with lots of cuties coming along to play!

Here is to a fantastic month with outstanding learning!
