EDSC Success at EMR Track and Field Championships!
Three of the best track and field athletes at the College have advanced to the SSV State Finals after competing at the EMR Track and Field Championships held at the Knox Athletics in Week 2 of Term 4.
Allegria B won the 12-13 Years Girls Long Jump, Callum O won the 18-20 Years Boys High Jump and Flynn W finished second in the 16 Years Boys 1500m – all making to the SSV State Track and Field Championships to be held on Monday 17 October at Lakeside Stadium (Albert Park).
After the region and state events being cancelled in 2020 and 2021, it was great to see our students participating in track and field at this level and doing extremely well!
Other highlights from the day were:
- Ben M finished second in the 18-20 Years Boys Discus
- Nikhail K finished second in the 17 Years Boys Javelin
- Malcom P finished second in the 15 Years Boys Shot Put
- Allegria B finished second in the 12-13 Years Girls Javelin
- Maisie H finished third in the Open Girls 3000m.
- Flynn W finished third in the 16 Years Boys 800m
