Enter the Wellbeing Zone

Welcome to the Wellbeing Zone. When you enter the zone, you will find a wealth of information about all the things happening in the Wellbeing space at Sunshine Heights PS as well as strategies, articles, book recommendations and events that will help build our dream and culture of Wellbeing throughout our school community, inside and outside of school, so that we can sail together through a universe of possibilities with all the emotional and social skills we need to thrive.

Francine's Absence

Dear Sunny Heights Family,

As you are aware, Francine is currently on leave due to an operation, and support for wellbeing, students with disabilities and welfare concerns will be provided by Gail Liakoureas during her absence. We wish Francine a speedy recovery and welcome Gail back to our school during this time. Please make an appointment with Gail via the office if you require any support.

The Single Mothers Meet Up

We are partnering with the Council for Single Mothers and their Children (CSMC) to deliver our very first Sunshine Heights Primary School Single Mothers Meet Up.

Being a single mum is great in many ways. It can also be tough, and sometimes lonely. We want to create a safe and inclusive space for single mothers to connect, share and build a support network.

Come and have a coffee and connect with other single mums. This is a chance to safely talk about your challenges and triumphs and share your voice on supports you may need to help you thrive as a single mother. Or just meet others and say hello.

The meet up will take place every Friday morning from 9-10AM for four weeks on Friday 21st & 28th October and Friday 4th and 11th of November. We will start with coffee over at the Specialist Hub canteen then move over to the Wellbeing Space to connect.

If you have younger children, please feel free to bring them along. Our wonderful student leaders will be organising a special activity each week to keep you children engaged while you take a moment for yourself!

If you are interested in attending the meet ups, we would love to know! (But you are also welcome to just pop in at the last minute). Please complete the expression of interest below.
