Principal's Report

Dear Families,

Term 4 is always packed with learning experiences and opportunities to celebrate achievements.

Our school received an invitation from Peter Malinauskas, Premier of South Australia to attend  the Premier's Reading Challenge Reception as we are one of the 55 schools who qualified to attend the  2022 event.  We have received invitations to attend both the Premier’s Reading Challenge  and the Premier’s Be Active Challenge Receptions.

On Tuesday 8 November, Izayah and Evie represented our school by attending  the Premier’s Reading Challenge celebration with Ms Pope and Ms Ray. The event was held at the Adelaide Zoo.

Izayah and Evie accepted our certificate and a bag of books from Blair Boyer, the Minister for Education.

We were delighted that Nadia Clancy was also in attendance to celebrate our achievements with us.

Also on Tuesday 8 November, Alix, Naavya and Mr Simon accepted the invitation to attend a student  Forum with the Chief Executive of our Education Department. The forum was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

On Wednesday 9 November, Ollie and Jacinta will attend the Premier's Be Active Challenge with Mr Collier and Ms Tameka to represent our school. This event will be held at the Netball SA Stadium, Mile End South

In addition to receiving an award, our school will also receive $1000 to support us to continue to encourage students to be active.

We acknowledge and celebrate all of our students who have participated in the Premier's Challenges and thank you for supporting your child/ren to engage with these programs.

A reminder:

As the weather is finally warming up, it is important that all students protect their skin by wearing a school hat, a school top with a collar and bring a drink bottle to school each day to stay hydrated. Please support your child to wear school uniform and have a hat each day so that can access the yard at play times and during outside lessons.

We also encourage students to apply sun screen each day before coming to school.

Kind regards,

Terena Pope
