Hiragana Competition

Greenwith Primary School hosted the annual North East district Hiragana Competition today. A team of year 5/6 GPS students competed against teams from six local schools. It was a wonderful day, with a sushi morning tea, prizes and lots of fun ๐Ÿ˜€

ย

The competition was very close with only 2 points separating the top 3 schools. Birdwood Primary School took 1st place on 54 points, Keithcot Farm Primary and GPS tied for 2nd on 52 points, but after a play-off, Keithcot Farm placed 2nd and GPS placed 3rd. Congratulations to our team who trained every Wednesday during lunchtime in term 3 for this event ๐Ÿ‘

ย

Thank you to Toomey Sensei for her hard work with preparing our team and organising the event, parent volunteer Yuri Ferris for being our guest judge and to all the parents and guests who came along to watch ๐Ÿ™
