The students have settled back into the specialist program well. The Prep-2 students have been practising the one and two handed strike, as well as the bounce. These skills are fundamental for them to master in becoming competent at sports like tennis, t-ball, softball, cricket, rounders and basketball. The grade 3/4 students have been learning the basics to cricket. They have rotated positions in learning what the bowler, batter, fielder and wicket keepers roles are throughout the match. The grade 5/6 students have been playing cricket and have building on their game strategies. This is so they become a more stronger and successful team within this game.
The grade 5/6 students have been eagerly waiting to complete their 8 day intensive swimming program which has been postponed since Term 2. Due to impacts of bookings from the restrictions, the 8 day intensive program has been shortened to a 6 day intensive program. The dates the program will be running are:
Monday 6th December
Tuesday 7th December
Monday 13th December
Tuesday 14th December
Wednesday 15th December
Thursday 16th December
Any questions, please see Kirstee or any other of the 5/6 teachers.
Next year, we are looking to begin an interschool sporting program for our grades 5/6 students. This includes our students going to other venues to verse other schools in sport. If you believe your child is a strong and capable swimmer and they are wanting to try out for the Craigieburn district swimming trials, please see Alannah so she can register them for the day.
