Graduation

We wish our Year 6 students all the best for their Graduation ceremony next week. We are so glad that we will be able to celebrate your special moment together rather than online. We are delighted that each Year 6 student can have 2 guests accompany them for this special occasion. We look forward to sharing photos of their special event in our final newsletter for the year at the end of term.

We also wish our Year 6 students all the best at their new Secondary Schools next Tuesday as part of Statewide Transition Day.

End of Year Procedures

Over the last few months, teachers have been assessing students and finalising reports so that they can be shared with you in the last week of term. Teachers have also been grouping students into mentor groups and assisting our leadership team with where we locate the communities.

Next Tuesday, students will visit their new year level for a short session in the morning. This will be a chance for the teachers to meet the students, share some things they will be doing next year and a chance for the students to ask questions. Students will not be in their 2022 mentor groups or with their teacher for next year. During the last week of school, there will be a short session on one of the mornings where the students will meet their mentor teacher and find out where their mentor room will be.

We will share information regarding where your child/ren will be next year during the last week of school.

Buildings & Grounds

Over the last 6 months, a number of building updates have been occurring. We have 2 new double-storey portables that will be able to accomodate 8 mentor groups.

The new softball fields and soccer pitches for our community are nearing completion and we expect them to be accessible for our community and school during Semester 1. The area will include 2 softball fields with a clubhouse, 2 soccer pitches, a barbecue and playground area, walking tracks as well as cricket nets and a community garden. There will also be some extra parking areas accessible from Rhyolite Drive and Waterview Boulevard.

A new toilet block has also been installed for staff next to the Year 5/6 portables. Next year a toilet block for students will be installed next to the staff one.
