Careers Resources
Studiosity now available to senior students
ASC students in Years 10, 11 and 12 now have free access to Studiosity, thanks to an arrangement with UNE. It is an online resource for students which provides advice and study support through:
- Connect Live - ask a question and get connected to an online Subject Specialist who helps students figure the answer out on their own (available for core subject areas including English, maths, science, business and more);
- Writing Feedback - students upload their draft written work, like essays, and in less than 24 hours they’ll receive their document back full of useful, actionable feedback on how to improve it.
Activation links have been sent to students' email accounts. We encourage all students to activate their accounts and make use of this valuable resource.
Transition to Work Programme
The Transition to Work Programme is a government sponsored initiative to help young people aged 15-24 into work (including apprenticeships and training) or education.
Participants receive intensive, pre-employment support to develop practical skills to get a job, connect with education or training, find local job opportunities and connect with relevant local community services.
The Transition to Work Program can assist young people with:
- getting a driver’s licence;
- helping out with things they need for work such as uniforms and tools of trade;
- supporting young people to gain new skills and qualifications (e.g. RSA, RCG, White Card);
- connecting with employers and job opportunities;
- connecting with TAFE and other community services; and
- personalised mentoring.
Please complete the short online form to register your interest. A Joblink Plus consultant will then contact you to discuss needs and create a post-school plan.
