Around The Primary

Dear Parents

This week we farewelled our Year 6 students as they headed off for their Adventure Camp. This is a significant event and has come about because of the diligence of Miss Graves (Assistant Principal) who coordinated the camp and the hard work of Mrs Reddell, Miss Hubbard, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Gardner, Mr Fromm, Mr Williams and Ms Allen.  Each of these teachers took time away from their families and busy lives to ensure that the camp is a wonderful experience for our Year 6’s.

From all accounts the Camp was a great success and provided multiple opportunities for the Year 6s to talk about and reflect on so many aspects of what it means to be a good leader, a good friend, and a good student. Among the many benefits of this camp is the chance to further build their resilience and leadership skills that can be brought back and displayed at home and at school.

Thank you, parents, for your trust in us to look after your children and we look forward to handing back to you some tired, well fed, confident and resilient campers on Friday afternoon.

Congratulations to all the students for performing so well at the Dance Showcases - we are so proud of their wonderful efforts!

It’s time now for a well-deserved holiday and I hope you can have some relaxing ‘pyjama days’ with your children over this break to spend some precious time and build memories together. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 12 October as we return to Term 4.

Kind regards,
