Interesting

One thing that I enjoyed about working from home was that I got to find the recipes and had a bit of freedom to choose what I was going to cook and how I was going to cook it. I particularly enjoyed cooking the muffins as they were quite a simple thing to cook and I think it was a good way to learn the basics of cooking. Overall I am proud of the muffins that I cooked, especially the honey and raspberry muffins I made for my CAT as I think they were the best muffins I made.

One of the minuses about remote learning was not being able to cook at school and not being able to learn the different recipes that we otherwise would have got to do. I think that if I had this term again I would like to be given a couple more recipes so that we could be cooking different things in the classes. One of the things that was a little bit challenging about cooking at home was not always having all the ingredients but that was ok because it taught me to be able to adapt with my cooking and to substitute different ingredients into my cooking. Some things that I found really interesting during food tech this term was learning about the indigenous ingredients. This was really fun, and I liked learning about what they tasted like and how they could be used. I also really enjoyed cooking the heathy recipes for muffins and I found it interesting to find what ingredients went together well and how to make it taste good without having to add sugar to it.
