Gardening

This funny lockdown term we have still been busy in our garden, turning our winter crops into summer crops.  We have a happy crop of wheat and have planted our tomatoes, potatoes, beans and zucchinis.

We also have abundant flowers blooming everywhere. The snails have been epic this year, and we find them in huge families in hidden, dark corners of the garden. In our photos, we found a sneaky watering can covered in them.

Our front First Nations garden is now two years old and the plants have taken on a life of their own. We have abundant river mint and saltbushes rambling everywhere.

Please feel free to harvest any river mint when you are visiting the school and have a wander. At the moment we have bulbines and choc lilies flowering, as well as many other plants throughout the garden.
