Sad News

On Wednesday 13th April, very sad news was received that one of our Year 9 students, Lydia Anseline, had died. The school community is thinking of Lydia, her family and friends. Some students in our school, particularly her friends, will find this news very difficult to understand and accept. Other students, not just close friends, are also likely to be upset perhaps because it reminds them of another sad event in their own lives. Support has been provided for students affected by this event, and on-going wellbeing support is available. The funeral was held on Monday, 2nd May and many of Lydia’s teachers, friends and peers attended.

Uniform Checks this week

Over the course of this week, uniform checks will be conducted across the College. We ask that you ensure that your child is in full school uniform and if this is not the case, please send a note advising when they will be in full school uniform.

We remind parents that:

  • Shoes must be black, polishable, lace-up school shoes.
  • Hoodies are not permitted at school at any time.
  • Tracksuit pants are not a part of the uniform.
  • The green polo shirt is part of the PE uniform and not for general use.
