Emmanuel College News

What an exciting week at Emmanuel. The boys at St Paul’s had their day out at Adventure Park, with lots of fun had and new friendships formed. ACC sport at St Paul’s and SACCSS sport at Notre Dame are winding down for the term with many students enjoying the chance to represent the College, some for the first time. It has been very rewarding to hear reports of excellent behaviour and that our students really played their sports in the right spirit.

This week at both campuses we hosted more than 350 students from feeder primary schools at our tabloid sports days. These days were conducted by our Year 11 VET Sport & Recreation students and were a fantastic experience for both our students and the primary school students.

Our next major event is the College Open Day to be held on Sunday 22 May 2022. Bookings for the event are essential and can be made under the Tours & Events tab on the right-hand side of the homepage of the College website, www.ecmelb.catholic.edu.au

Please note that applications are now being accepted for Year 7, 2024. A Prospectus Pack containing an application form can be requested from the Enrolment Information tab, also on the right hand side of the homepage of the College website, by emailing enrolments@ecmelb.catholic.edu.au, calling the College Registrar on 8325 5119 or visiting our friendly staff at reception of either of our campuses. Applications for Year 7, 2024 close on Friday August 19, 2022.

We hope to see you at a school event soon.

Network Sharing

Raina Reyes-Laughlin - Community Capacity Building Lead – NDIS Services

We would just like to share a flyer and links to the information on the early childhood approach (formerly Early Childhood Early Intervention – ECEI), which is offered by the Brotherhood of St Laurence in partnership with the NDIS. Please note that children below the age of 6 do not need a diagnosis to be referred to us. Anyone in the community can refer a child to our service, and parents/carers can also self-refer.

Translated resources here: https://ndis.bsl.org.au/early-childhood/cald/

Referral form: https://ndis.bsl.org.au/early-childhood/referral-form/

Please note that these resources are still in the process of being updated and still say ECEI instead of early childhood approach. I’ll make sure to share the updated resources as soon as they are available.
