SAC ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

As in previous years, the SAC alternative arrangement process will be in place to support students who have missed or are aware that they are going to miss a SAC. This process applies to all students undertaking a Year 11 or 12 subject. Please see information below for the process:

  • If students are aware that they will miss a SAC or are absent due to illness/other reasons, it is the students responsibility to obtain the SAC Alternative Arrangement form from SIMON. They must then get this approved by Mr Ficarra.
  • Form must be completed by subject teacher, student and parent/guardian. A Medical Certificate is highly encouraged for Year 11 and compulsory for Year 12.
  • Completed form to be handed to Mr Ficarra or Miss Hooper.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to students, subject teachers and the supervising staff member confirming the students application. A reminder will also be sent the morning of.
  • SAC Alternative Arrangements will be held each Thursday at 3:30pm in the Library.
  • SACs must be completed the following week if missed. This will be heavily enforced.

Mr Ficarra is the only person who can approve SAC Alternative Arrangements. Once you have spoken to your subject teacher about your absence, you must then meet with Mr Ficarra for final review and approval.
