What an amazing Term we have had:
In my travels around the school I am seeing many wonderful things our teachers are contributing to lots of Numeracy, Literacy, assessments and well being programs in class. We have our SIT Team (School Improvement Team), we have staff on School Council - developing policies, helping with marketing and fund raising ideas and staff helping out in the canteen, planning camps and excursions - there are lots of great things happening.
There are countless roles staff undertake, it's impossible to mention them all. Huge thank you to every member of our staff.
From the Warrandyte Festival - the float (thanks Julie), the performances on the stage (thanks Maggie) and our amazing parents who ran the ACPS stall ( thanks Jimmy)....
...to self portraits in Art, Italian Restaurant Menus in Italian, weekly Inter school sport (gr 5/6), sport clinics, swimming carnivals.
Great charity initiatives such as the shoe collection for Tread Lightly - where we became the Victorian Champions! Thank you for all your shoe donations!
We have an amazing team of Education Support (ES) staff as well as our Chaplain, who work tirelessly with all our students and add an extra dimension to our student learning opportunities- thank you all.
Junior School Council (JSC) are currently preparing for our Anzac Day Service on April 26.
An Easter lunchtime colouring competition has begun, and the ever popular Lego lunchtime (with Sue) continues.
There's dressing up and dressing for the farm life ....Our Queen Eastwood for the Day of Power. Doesn't our children's garden look fantastic.
Learning and fun go hand in hand: Did you figure out the maths problem in last week's Newsletter?
The headquarters : These women are always there to help with genuine smiles on their faces. Thanks Jo, Dee and Melinda - we appreciate all you do to keep our school running behind the scenes.
Be your best!
Respectful Relationships and School Wide Positive Behaviours (SWPB) are key areas we focus on at ACPS. Students can earn "smiley face" stickers for displaying any of our school values and YAGA (You Are Great Awards) are also announced weekly in Friday Assembly.
Have a great holiday, stay safe, be kind and be your best - always.
