Congratulations to all of our competitors. They were all great representatives of Trinity College and we all had a lot of fun both in and out of the water. Finn McAlinden is the only students who will go on to represent Trinity at the State Finals this year. The finals will be held at MSAC on Thursday the 28th of April.
A big thanks to Sam Moloney and David Testa who assisted with our students for the two days.
SSV Coastal Swimming
After the completion of the Trinity Swimming Carnival, the winners and second place getters were able to progress through to the Coastal Championship.
Here we competed against other schools in our region which include, CSC, Apollo Bay, Lorne and Lavers Hill. The swimming carnival is always our toughest competition, as there are a lot of talented swimmers from Lorne and Apollo Bay.
We had a great day out with our students in and out of the pool. We also had quite a few winners who went on to compete in Horsham at The Greater Western Championships.
Trinity Age Group Champions: 14 Girls - Bailee Rooney; 15 Girls - Alexis Phillips; 16 Girls - Sienna Langdon; 16 Boys - Aiden Kelly; 17 Girls - Ava Rooney; 17 Boys – Finn McAlindon and Harry Brien; 18 Girls – Charlotte Howell; 18 Boys - Jack Gibson.
Congratulations to all the students who competed on the day. And a big thank you to the staff and the Sport and Recreation students who also assisted with the running of the carnival.
