Diocesan Touch Football

On Wednesday 28 March the Diocesan Touch trials were held in Wagga. Mater Dei had boys and girls U15s participate with the Opens girls and boys trialing as individuals this year with a new structure in place. The U15s girls played well as a team and displayed a high level of skill and dominated most games. They won against Marian, Xavier, and St Francis De Sales and had a close loss of 2-3 to Kildare.

The 15s boys had similar results with two losses and two wins for the day, the boys have mixed experience levels and they competed positively in all matches throughout the day.

Congratulations to the following players who made the Diocesan team: Caitlin Wheeler, Ashley Reynoldson, Jessica Wendt, Breanna Wendt, Alicia Johnson, Lucy McIntyre, Tristan Wheeler, Angus Currie and Jett Buttifant.

The Opens team will be finalised in the next few days and the players will be notified.
