Introduction

Hello, for all who do not know me I am Judy Stewart and have been teaching at St Mary’s for 24 years…YIKES!

I love working at this beautiful school and have worked in many different areas including classroom teaching and Performing Arts.  I am now teaching Social and Emotional Learning, an area I feel very passionate about.

I have recently been offered the position of Family and Community Liaison Worker at St.Mary's (one day a fortnight). Hopefully I can offer a listening ear to anyone who needs to sit down and talk about family difficulties. I will be assisting teachers in maintaining contact with families through a difficult phase and can help families access support within our school or outsourcing  to other agencies.  One of my main areas will be to increase communication between school and home.

Care Meal Cook Up

At St Mary’s, we aim to care for all in our community. In all family life there are times, for many different and varied reasons, when cooking dinner seems an extra burden. For that reason, we feel that a care meal sent home from St Mary’s will,for at least a night, ease this burden.

Our Grade 6 Serve leaders will be working with myself to cook lasagnas to stock up our depleted freezer. 

We are looking for donations of the following -

Mince meat

Brown onions

Tomato paste

Crushed tomatoes

Large lasagna sheets

Bags of grated mozzarella cheese

Large foil trays

Donations can be dropped off  to the office

Coffee Mornings

I am hoping to start coffee mornings every 2nd Monday after school drop off.
