Instrumental Music Lessons

Learn Music at Staughton College!
Staughton College’s Instrumental Music program is now taking enrolments for lessons in Term 1 and beyond!
Last year, we saw a huge amount of students enjoying everything the program has to offer, from workshops and talent shows, to student of the month, to concerts, and community events. Our awesome new music rooms are great spaces, brought to life by our experienced and knowledgeable Instrumental staff members.
Students can enrol for lessons with the following teachers:
- Luke Hart (guitar and bass)
- Hilary Odgers (violin, viola or mandolin)
- Damien Maughan (brass)
- Brett Evans (woodwind)
- Elly Prappas (keyboard)
- Peter Kahoun (drums and percussion)
- Cody Bell (voice)
Last year, our Instrumental students set a record of 90% attendance, which just goes to show that Staughton students love learning an instrument. These lessons are scheduled on the same day every week on a rotating timetable. This avoids any repeat disruptions from classroom lessons.
It’s crucial that students notify their Instrumental teachers if they are unable to attend their scheduled class so they can reschedule for another time. It’s also important that students are taking their hire instruments home to practice.
To enrol in the program or hire an instrument, please see the Front Office for more information. If you need to return a hired instrument from 2016, please see Miss Moore or the Instrumental staff.
All students in the Instrumental Music program this year attended a brief assembly on Tuesday, Week 2 (Feb 7th) during tutorial time in the Multi. They received their lesson timetable and other important info about events and opportunities coming up.
