Interschool Tennis

On Friday, the 16th of March, the Staughton College tennis team travelled to the Sunbury Lawn Tennis Club to participate in the first round of the tennis competitions this year. Our senior team consisted of two senior boys, Mathew Larter and Brodie Barton, and two intermediate boys, Jethro Gomez and Zain Chaudry, who were accompanied by Ms. Hemiak.

The boys had a great time representing Staughton College and they showed great compassion and sportsmanship.

There were three rounds played by the Staughton College tennis team out of which, we achieved victory in one, scoring 15-7 against Gisborne, and witnessed loss in the other two, scoring 10-14 and 7-16 against Sunbury. Thus, unfortunately, we did not make it to the second round.

A special thanks to Ms. Hemiak for her co-operation, Mr. Tikulin and Mrs. Occhipinti, and all the boys for participating and putting on a great display of competence and rectitude.
