Year 9 Advance Program

Welcome to the St Albans Secondary College - Year 9 Advance class for 2016!
ADVANCE is a school-based initiative of the Department of Human Services (DHS) and is a partnership between the Office of Youth (OFY), Victorian Government secondary schools and community organisations. As part of this innovative program students complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The DUKES Award comprises of four sections: Community Service, Skills, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey. For our first community service activity, the Advance students mulched the area around the Garden Club’s vegetable garden. The garden is maintained by horticulture teacher, Mr Joe De-gabriele and his dedicated and enthusiastic garden club members.
The Year 9 Advance class is looking forward to an exciting and adventurous year ahead.
