School Council

A message from our School Council President.....

In 2019 we thought we’d seen it all. The common refrain amongst the staff was “never in all my years of teaching have I seen ...”

Well that was before 2020.

There is no doubt that 2020 has brought with it the most challenging set of circumstances that we have seen in our lifetime.

Covid19 has resulted in incredible hardship. Unfortunately this will continue. But it is important that we keep our collective focus on those at the heart of our community - The Children.

For those within our community that have been directly affected by the loss of employment, our message is simple - we are here to support you in any way we can.

To those who are managing the demands of working from home while having the children at home, our message is simple - we are here to support you in any way we can.

To those who are working on the front line in the fight against Covid 19, we all collectively say - THANK YOU. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask we will be here for you.

WE are a community and WE are here to support each other.

I want to thank Rosemary and her staff for the teaching throughout term 1. Further, I know that they are working hard on preparing a remote learning package to support our children into term 2 and possibly beyond.

While the implications of Covid19 will be significant, this time will pass. Our children will grow older and there will be better times. This is not to downplay the circumstances that we face now but to acknowledge that our core role in all of this is to support the continued growth and education of our children.

If anyone needs to talk we are always here for you.
