Game Changer Challenge

This is the second consecutive year that we have a team who are in the finals for the "Game Changer Challenge"!

The team will join 8 other teams from across the state to pitch their Shark Tank-style pitch to industry and education experts after three days of design thinking workshop in Sydney

Our team of 6 Year 11 students include:

Lucy Finlayson, Noah Standen-Roberts, Lucy Fulloon, Sabrina Ho, Margaret Conroy and Lucy Cook.

Well done to you all, we shall be cheering you on for the next stage!

Secretary for a Day

Congratulations to year 11 student, Ella Pringle who has been invited to join other students from across the state in Sydney during Education Week in August to be a "Secretary for a Day".

Ella, and the other students, will learn about the workings of the Education Department,  and through workshops and conversations, explore the Education Week theme.

Well done Ella!

Premier's Debating

Armidale Secondary College have progressed to the regional semi-finals having defeated Nambucca Heads High School. The team argued that "Social media influencers should be liable for damage that arises from the products they promote.

Well done team!

Community Volunteering

Armidale City Public School were so appreciative to the students who assisted at their athletics day.

Not only did the students lend a hand to the younger students and give a hand to a partner school, but they also gained valuable experience in the practical aspects of running events.

Thank you to: Symantha Hewitt, Flyn Fisher-Watson, Ray Hatch, Matthew Frost, Tom Davies, Charlotte Hall, Molly Evans, Madison Sim, Jacob Westaway, Yuho Takayama, Charlotte Hall, Eruera Heremaia, Singleton Heremaia, Felix Clifton Everest, Jess Burgess, Clio Knight & Adelle Kreinberg.

Armidale Diversity Expo

Our Ezidi students had such fun visiting the recent Armidale Diversity Expo.

The Expo had a range of interactive displays from key emergency service and safety providers in Armidale.

Our students thoroughly enjoyed the excursion and fully engaged with the stalls and activities.

Hospitality Fun

Year 8 Food Tech classes thoroughly enjoyed cooking, and eating, the Mexican burritos they made.

Year 10 students cooked up a storm when they planned,  prepared  and then relished chicken cordon bleu.

Food tech classes provide students with the theoretical aspects as well as providing plenty of practical opportunities for the students to engage in cooking skills. Popular classes indeed!

Public Speaking

We had great day at the ‘Speaking for the Planet’ event. Josie O'Baoill won the writing section and Rubi Ainsworth won the prepared speech with Nicole Tarrant coming runner up in that section. Further, our drama group also came runner up as well. Congratulations to all participants.

Future Scientists

16 Girls from years 7 & 8 took part in UNE's Girls' Day where the students engaged in diverse activities with a science focus, including the opportunity to do some  brain dissection experiments with Dr Mary McMillan and analysing creatures in pond water with Dr Deborah Bower. Further, the future scientists contributed to a discussion with a panel of female scientists from a variety of areas about their lives and careers in science. Very inspiring indeed.

Stage 4 Art

Students in Mr Edwards' Year 7 & 8 classes have spent the term jazzing up DE7 classroom with an amazing mural inspired by street artist Beastman.

What a fantastic job by all involved. Well done!
