School Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships

On Thursday October 24th, three of Greenvale Primary Schools finest athletes attended the School Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships, held at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park.

In hot conditions Dumini, Mischa and Matthew represented our school with great pride competing in Discus, Hurdles, Triple Jump and 1500m events.

With the competition being fierce, many personal bests were thrown, jumped or run. All three students should be extremely proud of their results.

I hope this serves at a great motivation to you; to keep on training, improve your performance and come back next year ready to achieve your personal best.

Volleyball

On Friday October 18th, the Greenvale Primary School Girls' Volleyball Team attended the Divisional Finals at Boardmans Stadium in Sunbury.

The girls played against the champion schools from 3 other districts and won all matches in straight sets, beating Sirius College 20-11, 20-11, Craigieburn South Primary School  20-17, 22-20 and Diggers Rest Primary School  20-11, 25-23.

Greenvale Primary Schools' values were on display throughout the day, with the team competing with great sportsmanship, skill and determination.

The team will now go onto compete in the Regional Championships in a couple of weeks, well done girls!
