It has been lovely to have all the students back in the library. Book Club has also been able to resume which runs on Wednesday (Blue Week) at lunchtime in the library. New members are always welcome. Students can visit the library desk to find out more.

Biography and Memoir

Our library has a great biography and memoir section. Many current biographies have adapted editions for young adult readers including Turia Pitt, Archie Roach and Michelle Obama which are all available in the library.

Horror and Halloween in The Library

The library has a great range of horror books. Popular horror authors include

R.L. Stine, Stephen King, Mary Downing Hahn, Derek Landy, Patrick Ness, Mary Shelley and Madeleine Roux.

Remembrance Day 

On Thursday we honoured Remembrance Day with one minute silence. Students were able to learn more about this day from the library display and our large collection of resources.

New Books

We have many new books available to borrow now that we are all back at school. Check out some of the new titles here. These can be reserved from home via our catalogue by logging in to your account. Go to ‘Login via SSO’ (top right hand corner) on our catalogue and use your GEC email address and password.

Book Requests

We welcome book requests and suggestions here at the library. Students can either submit a form and post in our Suggestions Box or email us at library@gec.vic.edu.au
