Breaking up is hard to do...

... but the graduating class of 2021 really did it in style!

This year, BSC staged an on-site, outdoor event to mark the milestone - and welcomed the  opportunity to celebrate the efforts of these students who have completed their VCE studies in the shadow on Covid19 and community lockdowns.

Together, staff and students  faced the challenges of the past two years, and together they overcame them all.  Some moments have been hard, while other moments were a joy.  In this landscape, the Graduation event was definitely a moment of triumph for us all; the last that we faced together.

Supported by staff, parents, carers and peers, each student was announced, applauded and presented with their BSC Graduation Certificate. In addition, those who had earned Academic Excellence, Academic Commendation and Brunswick Values Awards were recognised for their commitment to their learning, their school and their wider community.

After we recognised and applauded the efforts of every graduate formally, there was a much-needed opportunity for families and staff to catch up.  For all the disruptions and uncertainty, it was very special to have an event on the school grounds and to host our graduating community for a celebration of all that has been achieved this year and across their secondary years.

Even the weather obliged!

The event was made possible by the efforts of the BSC staff team, generously supported by a small band of volunteers from the school community who provided catering.  We extend special thanks to all involved for helping to make this one of the most poignant and celebrated events in the school's history.

Finally, we congratulate the Graduates of 2022. May their futures be bright and may they return once in a while to the school that bids them farewell!
