U8 GS Magic

The GS Magic had a hard fought battle against the Lakers Monday afternoon.  Both teams were evenly matched and seemed to go basket for basket for the entire game.  In the end, it was a fitting 12-12 draw.  Eden and Shaurya again dominated the rebounds, Tyler performed some gutsy steals and Anhad and Layla displayed their skillful dribbling.

Scorers: Jake, Eden (4 pts each), Layla and Shaurya (2 pts each).

Year 2/3 GS Rockets

The GS Rockets took on the Pedare Boomers Wednesday afternoon.  Just after half time, scores were level at 16-16.  The Rockets maintained their defensive pressure and broke through the opposition’s defence with some clever dribbling and passing and were able to come away with a 22-16 win.  

Lorenzo’s defence was solid all match, Rhys scored some skilful baskets and Jayden and Jacob took some excellent rebounds against a very tall opposition player.

Scorers: Jayden (12 pts), Oscar, Rhys (4 pts each) and Jacob (2 pts).

The team played with a player down the full game. They played so well making up the gap easily. Some great teamwork in and around the goal circle saw a great result. We look forward to our next game.
