U8 GS Magic

The GS Magic took on the Cubs Monday afternoon in what turned out to be another close game.  With less than two minutes remaining on the clock, the Magic were down 8-9.  Shaurya then shot a great basket putting the Magic up 10-9.  The Magic then ran down the court and set up a solid defence and prevented the Cubs from scoring in the final minute resulting in an exciting one point win.  Jake had a high scoring game, Tennyson was solid all match, Anhad and Tyler had a chance to show their dribbling skills and well done to Shaurya for scoring the match winning basket.

Year 5/6 GS Shooters

The GS Shooters took immediate control of the game against Pedare Cheetahs, managing a 22 point lead by half time. Players individually challenged themselves and our team took this opportunity to skill up our junior "talls" with rebounding and taking assists for close shots at goal. Well done on stepping up and proving you are capable too. It was great to see all our players score and enjoy basketball together. Final score 38 to 10. Great job team!

Scorers: Alistair (14 pts), Wian (8 pts), Dhairya and Vishwas (6 pts each);  Blake and Jaxon (2 pts each).
