What’s Happening In ASDAN?

The ASDAN staff and students are all excited to be back to school and finally continuing

 with our work experience program at Blackwood Specialist Camp. During remote learning we worked on developing our independent living and employability skills. This Tuesday was our very first day back on the job and a chance to put all of our learning into practice.

The students worked incredibly well in small teams to complete a variety of jobs. Some of the jobs included raking, clearing camp areas, sweeping, moving mulch and cleaning out the garden shed. Everyone worked hard to make the camp area, walking tracks and gardens beds safe for campers. 

The students showed great team work and self management skills. All of the students tried their very best to complete their jobs whilst always being safe and responsible. 

It was wonderful to be back in the beautiful fresh air, working hard and having fun. 

The ASDAN staff congratulate and thank all of the students for their exemplary behaviour and hard work.
