Ultimate Wordsmart Competition

The Ultimate Wordsmart competition and earned the Gold Award. In term 3 during remote learning, all Technical Literacy classes were cancelled, which presented the opportunity to run a literacy initiative called the Ultimate Wordsmart competition. Well done to all of you who participated in the competition. There were 10 gold certificates won, 5 silver certificates and 1 bronze certificate. A total of 58,983 questions were attempted and 30,300 points earned.

Principal’s Award

These students are those who reflect our College Values of Integrity, Innovation and Focus. Despite all obstacles, these students have continued to ensure that they are focused on the improvement of self, others and the broader College Community.

As part of this award each student will be credited with $250 towards their 2022 school fees.

ADF Future Innovators 

The Australian Defence Force Future Innovators Award highlights the next generation of innovators, critical thinkers and problem solvers – in particular students who are excelling in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

As a student who consistently performs in each of his subject areas including,  English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, it may come as no surprise of tonight’s award recipient. ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership Award

The ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards started in 2006 and recognises students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork in both the school and broader community. At the same time, the award recognises those who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and ‘mateship’, characteristics that are integral to Australian society. 

This year's recipient has done this on numerous occasions. She is actively involved in all college events, consistently demonstrated our college values as a VCE student and is a current College Captain. Tarneit Senior College Student Scholarship

Tarneit Senior College Student Scholarships are presented to the student who is the highest House Point earner within their respective house.

Many of our students will know of our firm belief in our College values of integrity, innovation and focus. We believe that students who develop these values will be well equipped to not only succeed as students, but as active contributors to the broader community. 

As part of the Student Scholarship, all resource fees, camps, sports and excursions are covered. For our YR11 recipients, this is inclusive of their YR12 jacket, as well as their formal ticket.
