Principal Post

Dear Families,

Despite a range of restrictions still in place and the school flooding event last weekend,  it is fantastic to see that all our students and staff are back into the swing of school life, immersing themselves in their learning and enjoying being with each other.

COVID

If a child,  parent or family member becomes COVID Positive please inform the school immediately. If anyone is showing any symptoms, it is vitally important that you get tested. Should there be a positive case within our community we will take                                                                            advice from the Department of Health via MACS.

Please note if a parent is required to be with a child who is unsettled in the school buildings, the parent must show evidence of their vaccination.

Flooding to School buildings

Unfortunately, the very heavy rain late Saturday afternoon has resulted in the School Administration Building being flooded. The flooding  affected the carpet / wet areas the in office areas and the Art room, Library and staffroom. There has also been some  flood damage to the carpet of 3/4HP and 1/2DS classrooms.

We are working with our  Insurance Company to  manage the situation.

The students in 3/4HP and 1/2DS will be using the Performing Arts area. Art classes, Performing Arts classes and Library classes will continue to be held in classrooms until further notice.

I thank you for your understanding and support.

School Concert

Despite our  best intentions the planned  School Concert will not go ahead. We have had several barriers to deal with. These included many weeks of remote learning and Government restrictions which did not allow for groups to gather or sing as a class, level or whole school. Finally, last week, our Performing Arts Teacher,  Beth Lacey who oversees the performance and event  had a fall and broke her ankle. She will not be able to  return for several weeks. I am sure you understand why we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the concert for 2021.
