REFLECTIONS OF THE FIRST LESSON OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY

In our 1st Food tech class, we made a Bacon and Egg Basket. It was a wonderful experience since many of us didn’t do Food Technology in Primary School. Ms Zikou, our Food tech teacher, was very considerate and helpful when people didn’t know how to do something.

We felt very excited and eager to start cooking in our first session of Food tech. We were very jittery before we got to the kitchen, as well as when we were cooking. We tried to focus on the cooking and paying attention to the recipe. It was certainly a very fun lesson since we got to cook in our first ever Food tech class.

We worked very well together, so we were able to be efficient when collecting ingredients, cooking and cleaning. It was an extremely fun session. The experience was definitely 5 stars. Food tech is very enjoyable and is definitely our favourite subject with all the delicious and intriguing food. We have loved doing it so far and the food has been scrumptious as well!

I am hoping that for the future we will cook more yummy foods and we are very much looking forward to doing that. One recipe that we have cooked recently is the pizza recipe. We were unable to prepare the pizza bases due to having peer support, but we still made the sauce and included toppings. Yum!
