STEM DAY

Wrestling Robots and Egg Drop Safety Nets

STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where academic concepts spanning Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are studied in real-world contexts.

The Kew High School Day of STEM consisted of presentations from a variety of guest speakers in addition to several interactive activities. Students learnt about modern hacking techniques and how global organisations protect themselves from these threats.

Groups competed in programming sumo wrestling robots, building egg drop safety contraptions and considered how STEM could model modern agriculture.

Thank you to everyone involved for making the day a success.
