Prep Incursion

Wicked Weather - Mad About Science

Last week all prep classes were involved in an incursion. This term we have been learning about weather and seasons. The incursion was 'Wicked Weather'. Ken from Mad About Science came and engaged us with fun and interesting experiments. See below.

Weather Incursion Recount

After our incursion we brainstormed key vocabulary and created a list on the board. We then used sentence starters to write a draft recount in our books. We then sat down with Miss Lancaster and read through our draft and corrected it. Below is our good copy.

Prep Chan & Tracey

During our Weather Incursion we learnt about different types of weather.  We also participated in an experiment to make condensation and another experiment to make 'snow'. 

Ava said "it was so interesting!" 

Sanveer said "it was fun!" 

Marcus said "the snow was cool!"

Jasmine "the snow become big somehow!"

Chryssa said "I like it!"

Prep Papaioannou & Sison

We enjoyed the Science Incursion.  

Luke- I liked making the snow.

Joshua- My favourite part was making the snow. 

Sabreen- I liked doing the experiments.

Emily- The experiments were lots of fun. 

Leo- I liked all of the experiments, especially making the snow. 

Cristina- I like putting the snow in my hand and putting the water onto the snow to make it grow. 

Evie-The snow felt like real snow in my hand and I liked how we could make it grow. 

Elly- I liked putting the snow on our hands. 

Grace- I liked all of the experiments and learning about weather. 

Jessie- I enjoyed making the snow, it felt soft and fluffy. 

Krystal- The snow was the best part.
