Dear Families,
The Sacrament of Confirmation was held last evening within the Parish for several of our past students and our present Year 6 students . We congratulate these students as they continue to allow the Holy Spirit to be active within their lives. May they always have family and parish support as they use their gifts and talents to bring a richness to their own life and the lives of others.
Next Tuesday the 14th December at 7:30pm the students enrolled will finally celebrate their First Eucharist.
Year 6 Graduation
The Year 6 students will participate in a Graduation Ceremony in the church this Friday 10th December beginning at 4:30pm. Parents are able to attend but must be fully vaccinated.
Following the Ceremony, the students will perform their Graduation Dance in the ampitheatre area. Students and their parents will be able to mingle on the oval afterwards. (BYO food and drinks - no alcohol). We are looking forward sharing this important occasion with the Year 6 families. During the day the Year 6 students will be participating in various activities as part of their celebration.
The 'Year 6 Fun Day' excursion last week to Gumbuya Theme Park was a great celebratory way to finish the school year. The children were well engaged and thoroughly enjoyed their day together. My thanks to the team of teachers and staff for their preparation and organisation.
Step up in 2022 Classes - Friday 10th December
This FRIDAY 10th December at 10:00am - 11:10am, the students will meet their 2022 class peers and class teacher(s). Due to his current school commitments Mr Jones is unable to come to the school but will be online for a short time and say hello to his new class. Like every year, the class organisation for 2022 is a large and complex undertaking. Working collaboratively, the staff strive to ensure the best placement for your children. In formulating classes we consider academic, social and gender balance. We try to have your child in a class with one of the five friends they have chosen. Please understand that we will not make any changes to these class lists.
Semester 2 Reports
The Semester 2 School Reports will be sent home to you on Friday 10th December via your child. Along with the School Report, you will receive notification of your child's 2022 class and teacher(s).
Christmas Concert
Our Christmas Concert held on Monday with our students was so well received and enjoyed by everyone. It was a wonderful celebration and another fitting way to finish our year!!!
We were so lucky with our weather! The effervescent Drew Lane our facilitator, certainly ensured the students were totally immersed in singing and dancing across the workshops and afternoon concert. It was a brilliant way of engaging in the Advent and Christmas journey.

2022 School Starting Dates
Please note:
School will begin for 2022 PREP students on Monday 31st January at 8:45am
School will begin for 2022 Year 1-6 students on Wednesday 2nd February at 8:45am
On Monday 31st January or Tuesday 1st February the students from Year 1-6 will be given a time to come to school to complete Literacy and Numeracy Testing. Further information about these times will be forwarded to you.

COVID
If a child, parent or family member becomes COVID Positive please inform the school immediately. If anyone is showing any symptoms, it is vitally important that you get tested. Should there be a positive case within our community we will take advice from the Department of Health via MACS.
Please note
Parents/ Carers are able to come onto the school grounds at drop off and pick up times. Parents / Carers can not enter school buildings without evidence of full vaccination unless otherwise authorised.
